Since we will not have continued use of our meeting space in the Chamber of Commerce throughout the summer months, we have decided to hold programs in members’ homes. Our Summer Program has been very successful over the last 3 years, and hopefully that will be the case this year.
The first meeting will be at Jan Heuman’s home where the UUSCC library is housed. It will give participants an opportunity to become familiar with the library. Arch Bush, our former librarian, will be invited to speak to the group. The group will decide how best to formulate the summer meetings.
We are proposing that we schedule our summer meetings to start at 2:00 p.m. on the following 8 Wednesday’s: July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14 August 21, and August 28. This will also allow for people who wish to have some vacation time. We also can consider whether or not there is interest in going out to dinner after our meetings. All of the above is open for discussion, so please feel free to contact me.

The next meeting of the UU Book Club will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Judy and Oscar Kramer. The address is 2212 W. Del Webb Blvd. in Sun City Center. The meeting will feature an interview with Yuval Noah Harari, the author of "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind." Mr. Harari will not actually be attending our meeting, but will be visiting via U Tube video. Light refreshments will be served. After the meeting, attendees will decide whether or not to go out for dinner together.
The group is currently reading "Origins" by Dan Brown.
